Everyone, Everywhere, commissioned by The Cecilia Chorus of New York, Mark Shapiro Music Director, in celebration of the 75th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and premiered in December at Carnegie Hall, is set for release on the Naxos label worldwide in February 2025. Cercle Bach de Genève was conducted by Mark Shapiro in the European premiere of the hour-long work for soloists, choirs, and orchestra on 10 November in Geneva, Switzerland. I Hear America Singing has been released to Film Festivals, marking the culmination of the Bardo Trilogy of “operafilms.” Jekyll and Hyde is now officially in pre-production.
10 December 2024: A consortium is gathering to commission Daron to compose a nine minute work honoring Joseph Schwantner which includes Yale University, the University of Northern Colorado, the University of Tennessee, Miami University, University of Nevada Las Vegas, the University of Michigan, the Royal Northern College of Music, the St. Olaf Band, and Texas Tech University.
