THE PRODUCTION
As part of the Chicago College of Performing Art's Operafest X, Professor Scott Gilmore directs opera program singers in a new production of "Broken Pieces," the first of the three "New York Stories" composed by Daron Hagen (with a libretto by Barbara Grecki and Hagen) throwing a "picaresque and wholly compelling" (Opera Now) spotlight on three couples in Manhattan during the 1990s.
